Rockford man charged in 2011 sexual assault

A northern Illinois man has been indicted on charges that he sexually assaulted a woman nearly eight years ago.

In a news release, Winnebago County State's Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross says a grand jury returned the indictment against 31-year-old Antoine D. Hill of Rockford.

Hite Ross says the indictment stemming from an attack in July 2011 comes after Rockford police conducting a follow up investigation led detectives to identify Hill as a suspect. The release does not offer details about the evidence against Hill.

Hill is charged with felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful restraint. He is being held at the Winnebago County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 25.
