Rogers Park shooting: 62-year-old man suffers graze wound while walking

A 62-year-old man suffered a graze wound in Rogers Park Monday night.

What We Know

The shooting occurred around 6:03 p.m. in the 7400 block of North Damen Avenue.

The victim, who was walking northbound on the sidewalk, heard a loud noise and felt pain. 

He later discovered that he had sustained a graze wound to his left lower back. The victim refused medical assistance and was not taken to a hospital.

What We Don't Know

At this time, no suspect information has been released, and no one is in custody. 

What's Next

The investigation is ongoing, and Area Three Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
