Scaffolding falls onto power lines from West Loop building
CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - Power was cut to part of the West Loop after a scaffolding fell from a building under construction Wednesday morning.
The scaffolding fell away from the building and onto nearby power lines about 7:10 a.m. near Lake and Racine, according to a Chicago Fire Department spokesman at the scene. Crews cut power to the immediate neighborhood.
No injuries were reported, according to the fire department.
