SPONSORED ADVERTISING BY NORTHSHORE UNIVERSITY HEALTHSYSTEM: Mark Metzl, M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist. He is the Director of Complex Cardiac Ablation and Co-Director of the Cardiac Device Lead Management Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem.
Dr. Metzl focuses on cardiac arrhythmia, ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac device lead management. He is involved in several clinical trials focusing on cardiac ablation and device therapy.
He earned a BA in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from University of Illinois in Chicago. He served his internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed his fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
Dr. Metzl is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology.
He is a Chicago native. He is married and has three sons.
