Teen shot in Altgeld Gardens

CHICAGO - A teenage boy was shot while walking on the sidewalk Tuesday night in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood.

The 17-year-old was on the sidewalk around 9 p.m. in the 700 block of East 130th Place when gunfire broke out and struck him in the leg, according to police.

The victim self-transported to Roseland Community Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.
