WHOOPS: Crews misspell stop sign
CHINO HILLS, Calif. - It's a big "oops" on a California roadway. It appears the transportation crews who installed a road sign didn't "stop" to check the spelling first.
The paint on the ground is supposed to say "stop," but instead it's spelled "S-T-P-O."
It didn't take neighbors long to notice the blunder. The misspelling was made even more obvious when it was juxtaposed right next to a correctly spelled stop sign.
Residents are now trying to get city officials to fix it.
