Blackhawks to face St. Louis Blues in 8th straight playoff appearance

The Chicago Blackhawks will square off against a familiar foe in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

For the team's eighth consecutive playoff appearance, the Blackhawks will face the St. Louis Blues in Game 1 on Wednesday as part of a best-of-seven series.

The opening game will take place at the Scottrade Center at 8:30 p.m. on April 13 with Game 2 in the same location on Friday, April 15. The United Center will play host to games 3 and 4, set for April 17 and April 19.

If the series goes further, the Blues will host Game 5 on April 21 and the Blackhawks will host Game 6 on April 23. The third-seeded Blackhawks would have to travel to St. Louis on April 25 if the series goes to seven games.

Chicago posted a 2-0-3 record against the Blues during the regular season, however the Blackhawks won the most recent playoff series between the two in the 2014 Western Conference First Round.
