Soldier Field makes fan-friendly improvements

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Whatever your expectations are about the Bears as a football team, the organization wants to make sure you have a great time at the game, no matter the score.

So, they've made some fan-friendly improvements to Soldier Field.

Former Bear Anthony Adams hosted FOX 32’s stadium tour.

The most notable new edition to Soldier Field? The new Midway Club, which may be the warmest spot in the stadium.

“It’s January, it’s 2 degrees, it’s snowing, wind knocking people over. But guess where you are, you are inside the Midway, chilling,” Adams said.

The Midway Club has 14-thousand feet of climate controlled event space, and it’s decorated in repurposed wood from the Chicago Park District.

Now, on to the food.

Yeah, there are the regular staples like pizza. But this year, you'll get to try gourmet tacos, shaved pastrami sandwiches, feta popcorn, and more!

But the big attraction this year will be the Midway Monster Dog. It’s a massive hotdog on a pretzel roll.

“Not only does it have sour croute, it has bacon croute,” Adams said.

Outside, there’s a new LED ribbon display all the way around the stadium, and brand new giant video screens.

“300 percent larger, the best clarity in the national football league from a resolution perspective,” said Chris Simms, VP of Sales and Marketing for the Bears.
