Every year, Preservation Chicago releases its annual most endangered buildings list.  These are historically or culturally significate sites at risk of demolition or neglect.  Well tonight, the executive director is here to explain how his list compels the city to take action.  This is Ward Miller.

Now to another bill making its way through Springfield.  Two local high schoolers from Pontiac, Illinois came up with a proposal in government class to require vape producers to manage the disposal of their products.  To turn that idea into reality, they enlisted the help of Dany Robles from the Illinois Environmental Council.  He's here to explain how mandating vape disposal will benefit the environment.

The U.S. Senate just rejected a bill to halt the war against Iran in an early show of support for President Trump's campaign.  The war powers resolution failed 47 to 53 with Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman being the sole democrat to side with republicans.  The measure would have limited any further attacks by requiring congressional approval.  That's after the Pentagon said more military assets are on the way to the Middle East this morning.
