In July of last year, a pickup truck drove through BLM protesters in Tulsa, leaving three people seriously injured. A GOP lawmaker in Oklahoma says: "The driver of that truck had his family in there, and they were scared to death."

The school had told parents the Black History Month lessons were optional. Only 3 of the school's 322 students are Black. About 70% are white.

The survivors dug for the four victims, but when they found them dead, they had to leave their bodies behind. The bodies have still not been recovered. Avalanches have also killed 3 people in Alaska and four in Colorado in the past week.

The suspect allegedly used a hatchet to smash a window of the car, showed the victims his bloody hand and said their blood would be next.

Opponents say that more concealed carry holders will lead to more shootings, noting that the annual rate of aggravated assaults with a firearm has increased 71% in Alaska since the state became the first to allow concealed carry without a permit in 2003. 

One funeral home in Los Angeles says they are handling 30 bodies a day. That's six times their normal rate. They're rented extra 50-foot refrigerators to hold the bodies.

Ty Jordan, a star freshman running back for the University of Utah who grew up in the Dallas area, has died, school officials announced Saturday.

Residents of Utah and Nebraska stripped their constitutions of provisions that allowed slavery as a punishment for criminal convictions. Mississippi voters approved a state flag without the X-shaped design of the Confederate battle flag. Rhode Island dumped 'Plantations' from its name. And Alabama voters removed racist traces of segregation from its constitution.
