Chicago announces 'Our Roots Chicago' tree equity initiative

The city of Chicago is celebrating Arbor Day with the announcement of the “Our Roots Chicago” tree equity initiative. The city and the health department are teaming up with community partners to plant 75,000 trees over the next five years. They are also looking to plant in neighborhoods that lack a tree population.
