Chicagoland will climb out of the deep freeze this weekend
Emily Wahls has your Chicago weather update!
CHICAGO - After a chilly week, Chicagoland residents can look forward to a mild and quiet weekend.
Though light snow or flurries may be seen tonight and early Saturday, they aren’t expected to leave behind much, if any, accumulation.
What we know:
Tonight’s lows will dip into the upper teens before climbing to around 20 degrees by Saturday morning. Flurries or light snow may linger east of I-57 Saturday morning, but the day will otherwise bring mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-30s.
Sunday will continue the quiet weather pattern with partly cloudy skies and cooler highs in the upper 20s. The trend of rising temperatures will peak Monday as gusty west-southwest winds push the mercury to near 40 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
What's next:
Tuesday will bring increasing cloud cover and slightly cooler conditions, with highs in the upper 30s.
