CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring a pair of adoptable cats named Stitches and Dakota!

You know what they say—opposites attract! And Stitches and Dakota are opposites in almost every way! These bonded senior kitties have very different personalities, but they both would love to meet you!  Outgoing and friendly, Stitches is a five-year-old curious kitty who enjoys exploring his surroundings. He also likes to bring out his inner puma by jumping to high places and would likely enjoy a cat tree in his forever home!

Dakota is a 10-year-old beautiful long haired beauty. She is more reserved, preferring to stay inside a basket or a barrel in her room at PAWS and meet her guests from a safe distance. However, once she feels comfortable, she will begin to be more social. Dakota loves playing with ribbons and wand toys, and will even stand up on her hind legs to play!

Dakota and Stitches are part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured Five program, aimed toward uniting animals with special adopters who can provide them with a specific lifestyle and health needs. Their adoption will come with one year of free Merrick Pet Care cat food and free wellness at PAWS Chicago’s Medical Center.

Dakota and Stitches, along with many other adorable cats and dogs, will be available for adoption today at noon at the PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center, located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. For more information call 773-935-PAWS or visit www.pawschicago.org.
