CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring an adoptable dog named Waffle Sundae!

Waffle Sundae is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire mix who came to PAWS after being picked-up as a stray. Just like her namesake, Waffle Sundae is a sweet dog who loves to show and receive affection from humans. She is an absolute gem and has become a big favorite among staff and volunteers. She is energetic and would love an owner fond of walks and has a big backyard. She is strong and has been working on her leash manners in training. Waffle Sundae can be selective with her dog friends, so she would prefer a home without other dogs so she can have all the love and attention.

Waffle Sundae is part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured Five program, aimed toward uniting animals with special adopters who can provide them with a specific lifestyle and health needs. Waffle Sundae’s adoption will come with one year of free training at the PAWS Chicago Training Center, a year of free Merrick Pet Care dog food and free wellness at PAWS Chicago’s Medical Center.

Waffle Sundae, along with many other adorable dogs and cats, will be available for adoption today at noon at the PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center, located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. For more information call 773-935-PAWS or visit www.pawschicago.org.
