CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring a playful dog named Rascal!

Originally adopted as a pup and returned when his owners could no longer care for him, Rascal is ready to find his new home!

This 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix is looking for a family that loves to be on the move as much as he does! He enjoys any and all types of exercise, especially fetch and long walks. A puppy at heart, Rascal is still learning his leash manners, and would do best with a confident and experienced owner who can teach him how to be a gentleman.

He is very food motivated and super smart, and with a little training, he is sure to thrive.

Rascal gets excited around loud noises, so he would prefer an adults-only home in a low-traffic area. He does enjoy spending time with canine friends, and would do well with a laid-back playmate.

Many adoptable dogs and cats will be available for adoption Monday at noon at the PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center, located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park.

For more information on Rascal, who is currently spending time in a foster home, call 773-935-PAWS, email adoptions@pawschicago.org, or visit www.pawschicago.org.
