National Memorial Day Concert braces for 27th annual event

It's an annual concert that honors the men and women who served our country.

The National Memorial Day Concert happens this Sunday night from the White House's west lawn and it's co-hosted by two of Chicago's own, actors Joe Montegna and Gary Sinise. This year, the show  will pay tribute to veteran Jack Farley, who was wounded in combat during the Vietnam War and received four bronze stars and two purple hearts.

Montegna and Farley join Good Day Chicago to talk about the 27th year of the concert and what it means to those who have served.

The National Memorial Day Concert will be broadcast live Sunday night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on PBS.
