Orchesta plays instruments made entirely of recycled materials

Imagine making beautiful music using materials found in a landfill. That's exactly what the Recycled Instruments Orchestra of Cateura does.

An orchestra unlike any other in the world, they make their instruments from the garbage they find at the landfill they literally live on in Paraguay.

This Sunday you can see them perform at the closing night concert of the 10th annual Latino Music Festival.

Good Day Chicago was lucky enough to have the orchestra in studio along with Favio Hernán Chávez Morán, director of the Recycled Instruments Orchestra of Cateura and Gustavo Leone, co-artistic director of the Latino Music Festival.
