US Lumberjack Series Championship prepares to get choppin'

(FOX 32 NEWS) - It was around way before basketball, football or even golf.

Even if it's not as glamorous as some of the other sports, being a lumberjack is by no means easy work. Timbersports can be absolutely grueling.

Good Day Chicago's Jake Hamilton headed out to Tinley Park to test his inner outdoorsman with a host of challenges, including scaling a tree, chopping wood and taking a chainsaw to a tree trunk.

The national professional and collegiate timbersports championships will take place this weekend at the Tinley Park Convention Center. For more information, check out their website.
