$1K reward offered for puppy stolen from Naperville pet shop

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of a 3-month-old puppy stolen from a pet shop in west suburban Naperville last weekend and then abandoned.
The people suspected of taking the female pomeranian about 4 p.m. Sept. 4 from the Petland at 720 Illinois Route 59 have been caught and are cooperating with investigators, but the pup’s whereabouts are still unknown, according to Naperville police and the store’s Facebook page.
The suspects dumped the dog in the backyard of a home near New York and Root streets in Aurora, officials said. It has a microchip that registers to Petland.
