4 armed robberies reported in 6 hours in Austin, Wicker Park

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies reported within six hours on Friday in the West Side Austin neighborhood and North Side Wicker Park neighborhood.
The robberies occurred:
- at 12:01 a.m. March 18 in the 100 block of South Menard Avenue;
- at 12:20 a.m. March 18 in the 4700 block of West Harrison Street;
- at 3:56 a.m. March 18 in the 1800 block of West North Avenue; and
- at 6:10 a.m. March 18 in the 100 block of South Cicero Avenue.
Four to six black males, between 14 to 23 years old, got out of a silver or white Chevrolet Malibu armed with a gun and robbed the victims of their items, police said.
