Bronzeville 2-alarm fire extinguished

CHICAGO (STMW) - A two-alarm fire that damaged two buildings in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning has been extinguished.
The fire was reported at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday at a four-story commercial building in the 100 block of East 47th Street, according to Fire Media Affairs.
Walls had collapsed in the front and west sides of the building by 12:14 a.m., fire officials said. The fire had spread to an adjacent two-story building to the east by 12:52 a.m., and the flames were through the roof.
The fire was extinguished by 2:20 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation Wednesday morning.
