Car crashes into Southwest Side daycare with 27 kids inside

CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - A car crashed into a day care center that had 27 children inside Friday morning in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The car crashed into the building at 8:54 a.m. in the 3400 block of West Columbus, according to police News Affairs Officer Nicole Trainor.
Teddy Bear Day Care Center 2 is located at 3473 W. Columbus.
There were 27 children inside at the time of the crash, and an 18-month-old was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn as a precaution, Trainor said.
