Chicago area high school student earns perfect ACT score

Out of 1.8 million students who take the ACT test every year, about 1,000 get the highest score possible of a 36.

This year, a high school junior at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park is one of those students.

Nicholas Rozmus of Elmhurst earned a perfect 36. In addition to his academic work, Rozmus is also the goalie for the Varsity Boys Soccer team, a Student Council Representative, Vice President of the Math Club and a member of the school’s Band Progam on the trumpet.

“Nick is creating his legacy at Nazareth through the outstanding ways he embodies our mission of educating the whole person. He excels both in and out of the classroom and represents the many students here who have received such thorough preparation for the next steps in their academic careers,” said Principal Therese Hawkins in a statement. “We join in congratulating Nick and his parents on this amazing accomplishment. We are extremely proud!”
