Chicago man arrested two months after Little Village stabbing
CHICAGO - A 48-year-old man was arrested two months after allegedly stabbing and seriously injuring another man on the city’s Southwest Side.
What we know:
Police said Octavio Garcia was taken into custody on Monday in the 2600 block of South Komensky Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood.

He was identified as the person who allegedly stabbed a 41-year-old man on Nov. 27, 2025, in the 2800 block of South Kedvale Avenue, also in Little Village.
The victim was seriously injured.
Garcia is charged with attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery, including use of a deadly weapon and causing great bodily harm.
What we don't know:
It remains unclear what led up to the stabbing.
What's next:
Garcia is scheduled for a detention hearing on Wednesday.
