Cops searching for driver in West Ridge hit-and-run

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Chicago Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a car that hit a 61-year-old man crossing a West Ridge neighborhood street last week, then took off, leaving him critically injured.
The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. July 4 in the 2600 block of West Peterson, police said.
The driver went west on Peterson and then north on Talman without stopping, police said. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The car is described as a blue-gray 2015-17 Hyundai Sonata, with damage on the driver-side door and a missing mirror.
