How far would you go to see your soul mate? This adorable penguin, named Dindim, swims almost 5,000 miles each year, from Patagonia to Brazil, to see his friend! He makes the journey to see the man who saved his life in 2011.

71-year-old Joao Pereira de Souza, from Brazil, found Dindim with his coat thick and laden with oil. De Souza took great care of his new found buddy, cleaned him, and brought him back to great health.

It took a while after the cleanup for Dindim to leave, but he finally did. Only to return the following year...the year after that...and the next. It's become a sweet and loving ritual.

De Souza told Globo TV, "I love the penguin like it's my own child and I believe the penguin loves me. No one else is allowed to touch him. He pecks them if they do. He lays on my lap, lets me give him showers, allows me to feed him sardines and to pick him up."
