PALOS PARK, Ill. - Emergency crews responded to a residential fire in Palos Park Monday evening. 

What We Know

The fire erupted in the 12400 block of 81st Avenue. 

The incident began when an officer on patrol noticed smoke coming from a home in the area.

Firefighters are actively working to contain the blaze, and the stretch of 81st Avenue between 12300 and 12500 is currently closed to traffic.
