Four arrested after 157 pounds of marijuana found in Aurora

AURORA (STMW) - Four men were arrested Tuesday afternoon after sheriff’s detectives watched a drug deal in west suburban Aurora, pulled over the vehicle and found 157 pounds of marijuana, according to police.

The detectives were in a parking lot near Farnsworth Avenue and I-88 in Aurora when they saw the drug deal take place, according to a statement from the Kane County sheriff’s office.

When the deal was completed, the detectives stopped a Jeep as it drove away, police said. Inside the Jeep, they found about 157 pounds of cannabis with an estimated street value of $1.4 million.

The driver of the Jeep, 53-year-old Luis Garcia of the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive in Bolingbrook, was taken into custody. Also arrested were 42-year-old Sergio Delgadillo-Alvarez; 55-year-old Ruben Guillen-Hernandez; and 63-year-old Jamie Guillen-Hernandez, all of Mexico.

All four men were charged with one count of cannabis trafficking, two counts of unlawful manufacture and delivery of cannabis, and one count of possession of cannabis, police said. They are being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center on $2 million bonds.
