Four people were charged with murder and home invasion after a homeowner fatally shot one of the intruders and injured another Tuesday night near southwest suburban Palos Park.

Officers responded to the call of a home invasion about 10:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of West 118th Street in unincorporated Palos Park, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.

The victim of the attempted home invasion, who had a valid concealed carry license, shot two male intruders, police said.

Anthony Dalton, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Dalton lived in Cedar Lake, Indiana. Midlothian resident Tyler Gulli, 23, also suffered a gunshot wound and was hospitalized.

Investigators were able to determine the identities of the other suspects after one of them came out of a wooded area near the home, police said.

Gulli, Sarah Risner, 20, of Crown Point, Indiana; and sisters Brandy Marshall, 19; and Paige Marshall, 20, were each charged with first-degree murder and home invasion, police said. Brandy Marshall lives in Dyer, Indiana and Paige Marshall lives in Hammond, Indiana.

Risner and the Marshall sisters were each ordered held on $2 million bonds and are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 3. Gulli will appear in bond court after he is released from the hospital, police said.
