2 people killed in rollover crash on I-57 in Chicago identified by medical examiner
CHICAGO - Two people are dead following a rollover crash on Interstate 57 in Chicago Monday afternoon.
What we know:
Illinois State Police (ISP) responded to the scene around 1:13 p.m. and found the vehicle overturned.
Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the victims as 23-year-old Tony D. Haywood and 26-year-old Jayla S. Covington, both of Chicago.
Lanes three and four remain were closed until 5:15 p.m.
What we don't know:
ISP have not disclosed what caused the crash, and no additional details have been released about the investigation.
