Illinois man accused of enticing minor, providing alcohol for sex: officials
LASALLE COUNTY, Ill. - A Peru, Ill. man has been arrested and charged with grooming, according to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office.
Daniel J. Jeffries, 29, was arrested on Wednesday. He had been wanted on a warrant for grooming after an investigation in February 2025.
According to the investigation, Jeffries used an electronic device to solicit, lure, or entice a minor, under 17-years-old, to commit aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Charges also allege that Jeffries purchased alcohol for the minor in exchange for sex.
