Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias expands parental leave
Parental leave at the Illinois Secretary of State's Office is expanding.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Parental leave at the Illinois Secretary of State's Office is expanding.
Alexi Giannoulias signed an executive order Thursday increasing the time off from four to twelve weeks.
Non-birthing parents are also getting twelve weeks instead of the previous two.
This goes into effect immediately.
