Man faces gun charge after shooting at Lawndale business
CHICAGO - A 29-year-old man faces a weapons charge in connection to a shooting Monday at a Lawndale business on the West Side.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was standing inside a business in the 2900 block of West Harrison Street about 11 a.m. when gunmen in a black Dodge Charger fired shots from outside, Chicago police said. The man was hospitalized in good condition.
Shortly after the shooting, officers pulled over a car and took two men in for questioning, police said.
Christopher Brown faces a felony county of aggravated battery with a firearm, but was not charged with firing the gun, police said. He is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
The driver was charged with a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.
