Man wounded in South Chicago shooting
CHICAGO - A man was shot Friday in South Chicago.
He was on the sidewalk about 12:56 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Essex Avenue when someone opened fire, striking the 32-year-old in the leg, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
No arrests have been reported. Area Two detectives are investigating.
