Mother arrested by ICE agents as daughter screams in viral video

Dramatic video showing Border Patrol agents arresting a mother who was walking with her children is going viral.

Perla Morales-Luna  and her two daughters were walking to pay their rent in National City in San Diego County when the agents moved in.

The emotional video shows the children screaming and crying as the mother is taken away.

The video was posted to Facebook on Thursday and has already been viewed more than nine million times.

The woman who was arrested is a suspected smuggler, according to U.S. Border Patrol.

In a statement, officials said: "Perla Morales-Luna was identified as an organizer for a transnational criminal smuggling organization operating in San Diego. She was arrested as a result of a targeted operation."

ICE had no comment on the arrest or the video, but did confirm the operation was carried out by the U.S. Border Patrol.

As Ed Laskos reports, these scenes are becoming increasingly common.
