Nothing found when tip about body leads to police search in Back of the Yards

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Nothing was found Tuesday night when police searched an area of the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side after getting a tip about a possible body.

Officers responded to the area at 11:13 a.m. when they were given information that a person’s body might be in the area around 46th and Wood streets, according to Chicago Police.

Nothing was found and the search was completed Tuesday night, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said on Twitter about 8:15 p.m. Detectives were working to get more information and rule out whether the tip was a hoax.
