CHICAGO - A SWAT team was called Tuesday morning to a home in Lincoln Park after a person barricaded themselves inside with a weapon.
Officers responded about 8 a.m. to a male who was barricaded in the 2800 block of North Oakley Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
Police said officers spoke to the person’s parents, who said their son owned a weapon and feared he would harm himself. Officers cleared the home shortly before 10 a.m. and took the male to Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
The male will not face charges, police said.
