Police: Man with gun barricades himself inside Canaryville garage

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A suicidal man with a gun has barricaded himself inside the garage of a home Friday evening on the South Side.

SWAT team members were called about 5 p.m. to the home in the 500 block of West 44th Place, according to Chicago Police.

He was alone inside the garage with a gun and refused to come out as of 6:30 p.m., police said. No injuries have been reported.
