Police seek suspects in Hammond robbery

HAMMOND, Ind. (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Authorities are asking the public to help identify suspects in the armed robbery of a northwest Indiana tobacco shop two months ago.

The robbery occurred about 11 a.m. July 16 at the Tobacco Superstore, 7509 Calumet Ave. in Hammond, Ind., according to a statement from Hammond police.

Three suspects entered the store, held the clerk at gunpoint and stole Marlboro and Newport cigarettes as well as a DVR system, a television monitor, cash, debit cards and cell phones, police said.
