Police warn of armed robberies at bus stops in South Shore

CHICAGO (STMW) - At least two people were robbed at gunpoint at CTA bus stops in the South Shore neighborhood last month.
In both incidents, one to three males walked up to a victim waiting at a bus stop, pulled out a firearm, and demanded property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
Both robberies happened Dec. 28, one at 5:12 a.m. in the 2000 block of East 79th Street; and the other about 12:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of East 79th Street, police said.
The robbers are described only as young males. Anyone with information should call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8273.
