Police warn of home burglaries in Lincoln Park, Old Town

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Police are cautioning residents of the Lincoln Park and Old Town neighborhoods after six residential burglaries were reported in as many days in mid-November.
According to an alert issued by Area Central detectives, the burglaries occurred:
-on Nov. 11 in the 1500 block of North Wieland;
-on Nov. 12 in the 1800 block of North Dayton;
-again on Nov. 12 in the 1800 block of North Dayton;
-on Nov. 15 in the 1100 block of West Webster;
-on Nov. 16 in the 2000 block of North Cleveland;
-on Nov. 16 in the 1800 block of North Cleveland.
In each case, the suspects broke the glass of a window or door to get inside a home before taking property, police said. The burglaries were reported in the late afternoon.
