Robbers forcing ATM withdrawals in Chicago

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Several people have been robbed or forced to withdraw money at an ATM in the Garfield Park and Humboldt Park neighborhood in November.

In each incident, people were approached by a group that showed a weapon and demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. People had their property taken or were forced to withdraw money from an ATM.

The robberies happened at:

2:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the 3200 block of West Chicago Avenue;
at 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the 3200 block of West Chicago Avenue;
at 8:00 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue;
at 8:56 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the 800 block of North Kedzie Avenue; and
at 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 20 in the 4000 block of West Harrison Street.
The suspects are described as a black male between 17 and 20 years old and 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11; a black man between 19 and 28 years old and 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11; and a black man between 30 and 40 years old and 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9.

During one robbery, the men wore masks, police said.
