State trooper hurt in I-57 crash
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - An Illinois State Police trooper was injured in a crash early Wednesday on I-57 on the Far South Side.
The trooper was assisting another officer about 2:30 a.m. on the offramp from southbound I-57 to 111th Street when another vehicle rear-ended his squad car, state police said.
The trooper was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, police said. Further details were not immediately available.
