Taylor Swift takes over Chicago on night one
Taylor Swift is in Chicago for three days of concerts at Soldier Field, beginning tonight.
CHICAGO - Taylor Swift has officially graced the stage at Soldier Field for the first of three Eras Tour dates in Chicago.
On Friday, cheers of excitement could be heard from inside – and outside – the stadium.
It was a ‘marvelous time’ for Swifties, who traveled from near and far to be there on ‘Friday night beneath the stars.’
"Just ready to sing my heart out," said Brody Ryan.
"She’s like a wizard with words and I just love listening to all the lyrics," said Allie Plansky.
Some – might even call it a fairytale!
"It’s amazing, I want to cry every time," said Zoe Hanson.
Between the sequins, the cowboy hats, the boots, the glitter and the fringe, fans dressed to impress – and they had every era covered.
"I’m most excited for ‘Fearless,’ that’s what I’m dressed up as," said Bipasha Sobhani.
"I’m a ‘Lover’ girlie," said Elizabeth Borum. "But I have a space in my heart for ‘1989,’ my mom bought it for me after my first breakup in high school so it will forever be my album."
"I made this, I just bedazzled it," said Chloe Gladhill, referencing her cowgirl hat.

"Girlfriend picked out the outfit for the most part, I had mine done before she did," said Ryan.
For one young fan, there was no better way to show her admiration for her idol than to dress like her.
"The wig was because I love the color blonde, the gloves – I love bows, and I just love sparkles so that’s basically what the whole outfit is," said Bell Brady King.

Taylor Swift fans swarm Soldier Field for concert merch
The sold-out Eras Tour will land in Chicago for three nights starting Friday, with 55,000 fans expected at each show.
Tickets for the sold-out tour were hard to come by. Some fans took off work to stay logged in.
Fans, on Friday, arrived before sunrise to get in line, and when the gates opened at 4:30 p.m., they were taken swiftly inside.
"She has so many different eras, there’s something for everybody, especially if you’ve been a longtime fan, it’s fun to see how she grew, and grew with us," said Annika Giunta.
"Just kind of builds the anticipation, you just kind of find other Swifties, and say ‘do you want a bracelet?’ so I’m really excited to give all these away and hopefully get some new ones I can take home with me," said Mahalia Sobhani.
Friendships were formed and ‘wildest dreams’ were made a reality.
"I think that’s what it is, we all get to get together and celebrate a thing we all enjoy, and we all get to be part of a community," said Kelsy Decknadel.
Swift will return to Soldier Field’s stage on Saturday before closing the Windy City weekend out on Sunday.
