A juvenile has been arrested in the death of a 311 operator, shot last month outside a Starbucks at 35th and State, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, who released the information on Twitter, provided no further details. More information was expected to be available at a news conference at 5 p.m. at police headquarters.

Yvonne Nelson, 49, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest about 3:52 p.m. May 20, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Nelson, of the 4900 block of South Vincennes, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died at 4:33 p.m., authorities said.

She had been a communications operator for 311 City Services since 2002, according to the Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

A gang member, not Nelson, was the intended target, police said at the time.
