ATLANTA - Just days after Air Force veteran Ryan Broschard hung up his uniform and left the service, he was robbed of precious awards, military coins, documents and thousands of dollars in electronics while stopping for gas in Union City.
Union City Police are working to get surveillance video from the BP gas station hoping to get a better description of the thief behind this crime.
Broschard was driving from Florida back home to North Carolina in a U-haul when he stopped to grab gas and buy snacks at the BP station at 4350 Jonesboro Rd. in Union City Monday night.
He used the restroom and bought a pack of gum and a drink, and when he came back to his truck, he found the window shattered and his belongings gone.
Investigators are hoping to get surveillance video of the crime.
Police ask anyone who may have seen this crime happen to call investigators immediately.
