Shooting on Chicago's West Side leaves 2 seriously wounded

A man and a woman were shot and seriously wounded Monday night in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The backstory:

Police said the pair, both 38 years old, had been arguing with a group of people around 8:41 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Flournoy Street before getting into their car to leave. 

As they drove away, another vehicle pulled alongside them and the men they had been arguing with opened fire, according to CPD.

The man was shot several times throughout the body while the woman was shot in both legs and her pinky. The pair drove themselves to Loretto Hospital where they were both listed in serious condition, police said.

No arrests have been made. Area Four detectives are investigating.
