Super Bowl 2025 predictions: Who the FOX 32 sports staff is picking to win

Who ya go?

The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs for the Super Bowl LIX crown. We'll find out who actually takes the Lombardi Trophy when the game goes final, but FOX 32 Chicago has a few thoughts on how the game might go.

Here are Super Bowl LIX predictions from the FOX 32 sports staff.

FOX 32 Chicago Super Bowl Predictions

Lou Canellis

Score Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win, 31-30

Why the Chiefs will win: I'm a big fan of Vic Fangio’s defense. It will force two Chiefs turnovers and Saquon Barkley will run for over 100 yards. The Chiefs will still win on a last-second field goal.

Cassie Carlson

Score Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win, 31-28

Why the Chiefs will win: Although I think the Eagles are the more complete team, and I would love to see Saquon Barkley win a ring, KC has the better quarterback. I’ve learned from the past, don’t bet against Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs three-peat.

Tina Nguyen

Score Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles win, 24-21

Why the Eagles will win: The Eagles almost beat the Chiefs last time. They're a better team now with Barkley on offense, and have an elite defense.

Roger Blanco

Score Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles win, 34-28

Why the Eagles will win: The Eagles' run game is too good. The 1-2 punch of Hurts and Barkley will make the Chiefs pay.

Joe Tidei

Score Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles win by two scores (Joe opted for a Vegas-style score prediction)

Why the Eagles will win: Of the Chiefs' opponents in their 3 Super Bowl victories, this Eagles team is the best equipped to knock them off. They're experienced, talented, and balanced. It might be foolish bet against Kansas City but at some point, the Chiefs' propensity to win via tight margins has to end and Philadelphia is built to do it.

Chris Kwiecinski

Score Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win, 35-28

Why the Chiefs will win: The Kansas City Chiefs cannot stop winning. Having Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones and Travis Kelce was always enough before. There isn't a reason to assume they'll be any less now. Especially when you factor in that Swiftie voodoo plenty talk about. Talk all you'd like about the Chiefs' struggles or how they're not the same explosive offense as before. When the chips are down, this team wins. No other team has given us a reason to think otherwise.

FINAL TALLY: 3 picking Chiefs, 3 picking Eagles

FOX Sports Super Bowl Predictions

NFC North reporter Carmen Vitali

Score prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win, 33-31

Why the Chiefs win: Listen, I learned my lesson last year in what was supposed to be a "down" year for the Chiefs. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. Now, they’re on the verge of history with every motivation in the world, and I just simply won’t bet against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

FOX Sports NFL analyst, former Bears QB Chase Daniel

Score prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win, 34-31

Why the Chiefs win: Chiefs are winning, no doubt about it. I think a last-second field goal by Harrison Butker is the defining factor. I love the way the Chiefs' O-line can play against the Eagles' defensive line. If you keep Mahomes out of pressure, he will take over the game.

Former NFL star WR and FOX Sports NFL analyst Keyshawn Johnson

Score Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles win, 35-27

Why the Eagles will win: I'm going to pick the Eagles over the Chiefs. I like Jalen Hurts. He had an opportunity to beat the Chiefs when he saw them in the Super Bowl two years ago. He played a phenomenal game. He just had one mishap on the fumble. But I feel like he's going to redeem himself.
