Jesse White throws 'Trunk Party' for college-bound students

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - The year is flying by and before you know it, college students will once again be flooding campuses.

However, not all freshmen have what they need as they head off to school for the first time. That's where Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White comes in.

White is hosting the second annual "Trunk Party," an event that puts school supplies in the hands of college-bound students who wouldn't be able to get them otherwise.

White joins Good Day Chicago to talk about his initiative and how people can contribute to the cause.
