'Route for the Brave' travels cross country for a good cause

Most people have a hard enough time going cross-country on a plane, but one very special group is doing it on foot.

Traveling more than 3,000 miles from New Jersey to California, the "Route for the Brave" is raising money to build a retreat for military families.

Joining Good Day Chicago to talk more about that effort is Helping Hands for Freedom co-founder, Staff Sergeant Patrick Shannon and Director Nicholas Schaus.
